Happy Monday! I hope you had as great a weekend as I did; I got to grab up a couple of nice goodies I absolutely adore! To start was an absolute essential for me, MAC Stud eyebrow pencil. I love a thicker, dark eyebrow look and Stud is the perfect eyebrow pencil for the job. I have yet to find any other eyebrow pencil perfect for shaping and that is long lasting throughout the day. I like to pair it with Benefit Cosmetics, Brow Zing, an amazing brow shaping kit. It keeps eyebrows in shape all day making sure no pesky hairs go astray. These two pair amazingly to give a great faded, perfectly shaped thick dark brow look without looking like Crayola attacked your face!
A little mascara obsession never hurt anybody! So I also thought I would try the Maybelline, The Rocket Volum’ Express mascara. I love all Maybelline mascaras and think drug store mascaras are always the best way to go and it’s always essential to have the perfect lashes. They always have the full volume effect mascaras which I prefer and love like my Maybelline, Colossal Go Extreme Volume Mascara. It is only my second day using my new mascara and so far I’m loving it! It creates great volume without the clumping like some other volumizing mascaras do and not to mention the price, so affordable which I love! I also got this amazing OPI nail polish, Umpires Come Out at Night a couple days before this weekend but thought I’d include it in my weekend haul because of how much I’m loving this colour! This is the perfect navy and matches so many outfits and its not too dark like a black, so it’s perfect for fall. The quality of OPI is amazing and I can go days without a single chip!
My most favourite item of all that I got this weekend is of course my new Rayban, Oversized Club Masters. The blue lens actually melt my heart! I’ve been dying for a pair of blue lens shades all summer but thought its perfect timing now to brighten up some of my darker fall and winter clothes for the next couple months to come. Not to mention how perfectly it goes with all my favourite red lipstick shades I’ve been wearing lately! ‘Sunglasses, like red lipstick, change everything!’ Bring on the colder weather and darker lipsticks!
Okay so it’s actually a tough call on my actual favourite goodie from this weekend! I also was a lucky girly and got an Alexandra Mosher necklace, like the one I recently posted about in one of my Friday Favourites. I literally was the happiest girl when I got it and not to mention my obsession with anchors plus how beautiful all of her collection is. I love that I can now take a little bit of home with me where ever I go. The collections are inspired by Bermuda’s beauty and uses Bermuda pink beach sand to create amazingly beautiful pieces. Alexandra can’t say it any better… “Bermuda is a magical place- a Wonderland of sorts, you can’t help but be dazzled by it’s beauty! This little island paradise lingers with you and leaves you yearning for more. My jewellery investigates the tiny treasures found in our exquisite environment and the nuanced details you might otherwise overlook” – Alexandra Mosher.

There’s no better feeling then knowing it’s finally Friday! Time to relax, dine, dress up or down, adventure or do what ever you like because it’s the weekend so why not! I hope you have had a lovely week and almost ready for October to arrive! Bring on the fall and winter wardrobes! Thought I’d start the weekend off admiring some of my current favorites…

My perfect morning always starts with a healthy breaky and some Pinterest inspiration! There is nothing more relaxing and inspirational then feeling healthy and fresh and enjoying the outdoors to start the day. I absolutely love avocado and am forever trying to include it into almost every meal not only because it taste amazing with almost anything but also because it has great health benefits. Cardiology is a passion of mine and it is great to be able to find foods that improve heart health and still taste so good! Avocado is a natural source of folic acid that can help lower your blood pressure and improve your cardiovascular system as a whole. This is not the only benefit of avocado that us fashion and beauty addicts like to hear. Avocado also contains natural fiber that aids in your bodies digestion and reduces stomach inflammation. Meaning its a great metabolism boost and perfect for loosing weight with regular exercise.
I am pretty sure I am far more addicted to Pinterest then the avocado though! It is almost like a fashion bloggers paradise and I would definitely rate is as my favourite app. Pinterest allows you to unleash your own creativity with great inspiration within your own particular interest. I can honestly say I am a pinterest addict and when I say I will go on for 2 minutes some how always turns into an hour or two; and I feel bad for all my friends who know me and have now become just as addicted as I am, and that is no exaggeration! The pinterest app is great, it has the ability to give you everything you never knew you always wanted to know about anything! Not to mention the shopping fix you can get when your actually really broke, greatest satisfaction without spending a penny! [Sunglasses: Topshop]
Pinterest has surprisingly wonderful DIY ideas that I love trying or pinning for later to try. Ideas like turning mason jars, even though this one was bought from Target, into drink glasses or flower pots or makeup blush holders, the ideas are endless! Pinterest is truly infinite, not to mention the delicious healthy meals and snacks, like my avocado breakfast, and non healthy treat recipes you can find from pinterest, the possibilities always seem endless. I look forward to sharing more of my healthy meals and amazing pinterest inspirations in future post but for now, click the Pinterest icon below and follow my pinterest to see some other pins I love and get inspired!
I can honestly say I swear by MAC lipsticks! They always have the ability to complete any day or night look perfectly with such a wide variety of colours to choose from. My two favourites are ‘Up the Amp’ and Pro longwear’s ‘Goes and Goes’.
These vibrant purples not only match my personality but help make a simple look pop! ‘Up the Amp’ suits so many people and I am always recommending it to friends to try. I always have one of these two in my bag everyday, I won’t leave the house without at least one of them.
‘Goes and Goes’ is a great lipstick if you want to try an ombre lip. I love applying ‘Goes and Goes’ and then putting on a lighter shade of pink (like ‘Creme Cup’) to top it off. The two colours play off amazingly together for the perfect ombre lip look.
These two shade can be used for both summer and winter looks, but pair them with classic whites and blacks, a simple winged eyeliner look and some bold statement jewellery and they can really dress up a classically simple but stunning look. It is such a great feeling to find the ultimate beauty essentials for you, if bold and bright lip colours are your essentials I wouldn’t pass on adding these two vibrant colours to your collection.
So, you want to know a little bit more about me? Let’s do this!
“Born + raised” in Bermuda by some pretty kick ass parents and a pretty incredible family surrounding me for all of my childhood. I was that kid that had to be involved in everything as much as I could and my parents forever supported my decisions no matter how extreme or stupid they were and I can’t describe how truly grateful I am for all they did for me or allowed me to do. From putting me in the best education system, here in Bermuda, at Bermuda High School. An all-girls school, I have to admit at the time I wasn’t too fond of the idea of an all-girls school, but I am able to look back now and honestly say I wouldn’t have it any other way. I was a part of so many school sports and other activities – one of which was Bermuda gymnastics team and I think it was one of the things that really shaped who I am today. It taught me true discipline, how to work hard to achieve my goals, how important a healthy lifestyle is, teamwork, creativity, how important it is to be unique and that your mind, body and soul is fully capable of achieving almost anything!
Fast forward a little, after studies abroad in the UK and receiving an honors degree, being able to do some traveling around the world with friends and family gaining so much exposure to new cultures and seeing remarkable places. Now returned home, landing the most incredible job I could ever ask for, managing and creating content for the top local boutique in Bermuda, Atelerie. Working in fashion felt like the most natural thing for me and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else really and here I am today!
All caught up, I now aspire to do all that I do now at the best ability I can (no short cuts allowed) and with so much room to still grow and learn from everything I am exposed to both at work and from my surroundings. I am forever inspired by where I live and the things I do, people I work with and for, the brands I am exposed to and the opportunities I am given. They all add up to the some of the reasons I started this little space on the internet and why you are here readying this right now! A place to express my creativity and love for all things ascetically pleasing, a space to share my love for fashion and what I do, a tiny corner of the internet that is all mine and open to all to see what it’s like to in the world of Ci Ci – that’s me!
