So pre haircut, as you can tell, I tested out Cocovits charcoal face mask and coconut oil to see what the craze was all about- I loved it! With summer coming to an end coconut oil has so many benefits to sun damaged skin and hair and I highly recomend trying these products in particular to help save any damages from that hot summer sun! I’ve noticed a difference in both my hair and skin from using these products, it’s amazing! Coconut oil in general has so many benefits for your skin and hair- it’s deeply nourishing, reparative and has major strengthening benefits.

Even though the end of hot weather can be good for our skin, in a way, you still need to consider your beauty routine in lower temperatures when winter rolls in as well. When these lower temperatures eventually start here in Bermuda, they can also have an impact on your skin’s moisture levels, and often it’s a struggle to keep its glow all day long if you aren’t keeping your skin properly moisturized. If you don’t want to end up crispy like autumn leaves, you really must do something about it. What is the secret to keep your skin soft as a peach in the winter just as much as the summer, then? Go for a quality moisturizing mask and moisturizing oil, like Cocovit, to take care of hydration before Fall.

When choosing a coconut oil make sure you go for one that is 100% organic and raw. Cocovit coconut Oil is one of the purest oils you can get- it has not been altered with chemicals, which I love, and you can use it for pretty much anything and everything!  When applying to your hair, apply from your roots to ends and comb through and leave it in for about 15 mins then shampoo. The oil contains a high percentage of lauric acid which deeply conditions hair from the inside out providing protein, thickening your hair, promoting re-growth, preventing hair loss and eliminating dandruff- sounds like a winner to me, just saying! I love using my cocovit coconut oil as an over night cream, mixed with my every day moisturizer. It is a natural anti-oxidant that helps to prevent free radical damage (known as premature ageing) for your skin- and can also be used for other things like make-up remover, cuticle softener, for shaving and more! I honestly recommend giving this product a go; and if not this one then introducing coconut oil in your life in some way in general just for all the benefits that come with using it!

IT’S ‘E’aaasy!

I’ve built a love affair for these products from the moment I bought them and I wanted to get the word out about how lovely these products really are. Not to mention they are all reasonably affordable too!

Vitamin E is an essential Vitamin and works wonders on your skin if added to your daily facial routine. I have combination skin, my t-zone is oily. After reading about The Body Shop’s Vitamin E collection and their own descriptions of the products as well as some other blog reviews really made me want to give it a go!
These amazing skincare products from The Body Shop promises to deliver a healthy-looking glow, long lasting hydration and helps protect your face against everyday damaging effects that you might not even be aware are harming your skin– what more could you wish for in your everyday super simple facial routine?

“…Vitamin E range can help to protect against pollution, cigarette smoke and UVA/UVB rays. Our popular Vitamin E cream and Vitamin E oil are suitable for all skin types and help to protect the skin from premature aging.” –The Body Shop

Those anti-aging properties are jam packed into the eye cube and lip care which I love. People often forget to take proper care of these super sensitive parts of their face, but this is often the areas where you start to age the quickest!
This mask is amazing because it offers instant results- that’s one propriety which everyone wants and looks for in a mask. I have to say this mask does exactly that. The product itself is a jelly-like cream that is really light and cooling on the skin. I have particularly been loving how cooling it is because it leaves my face feeling so fresh! I tend to leave it for a lot longer than the 10 minutes suggested and instead put a light layer before bed let it soak in overnight and my skin feels amazing in the AM!

The moisturizing cream is perfect for everyday and Vitamin E helps to ward off dryness and keep skin hydrated. It helps the skin retain components that keep it hydrated for longer. I usually prefer moisturisers in a pump-bottle, but on a positive side, these masks and moisturizer in a tub means you can be sure that you use up every last drop of product before you have to run to the store and grab some more.

Both the toner and the moisturizer absorbs so quick into my skin, allowing me to easily be able to carry on with the remainder of my morning makeup routine right after! Between all these Vitamin E products they will give your skin a quick boost before you leave the house in the morning, and one that I would highly recommend to all skin types to try! So sensitive skin girls and those girlies with combination skin, I think this Body Shop Vitamin E collection has you covered! I highly recommend everyone to give these products a go!

Any girl who loves makeup knows there is at least 5 products they can’t live without, your every day essentials you could say! Choosing just 5 products proved difficult because I love them all, however these are defiantly the 5 products I probably couldn’t go a day without when doing my daily makeup routine.

1. Eyebrows – Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in Ash Brown

I’ve tried so many brow products to finally find the perfect one! I swear by this product and any brow related products by Anastasia Beverly Hills. So easy to apply, last all day and offers a good variety of color options to choose from to best suit your brows. I use a simple eyebrow staight edge brush to apply and a brow brush to blend and shape my brown. It’s amazing how I could honestly say doing your eyebrows is a must, it absolutely completes a look and sharpens your face that little bit more. “Eyebrows speak louder then words!”

2. Foundation – NARS Sheer Matte Foundation and
Makeup Forever Ultra HD

(I totally cheated and picked both because I couldn’t choose between them!)

I couldn’t choose between these two products because they are both so amazing! I must admit I do use my NARS foundation a lot more then my Makeup Forever Ultra HD mainly because the shade matches better at the moment for my personal everyday look, plus I like to save my Makeup Forever for events, nights out or just days I know I want my make up to last! I would defiantly say the Makeup Forever foundation is lighter weight and last longer through the day then my NARS foundation but they equally have their benefits and I love them both! I tend to switch up between these two foundations on a daily basis, but out of the many foundations I have tried, NARS and Makeup Forever foundations are my ultimate faves and the most consistent in achieving the look I like. I would defo recomend trying these products if you haven’t before!

  3. Eyeliner – Kat Von D Ink Liner in Tooper

This is a new product for me but so far I’m loving it! I swear there’s a constant love hate battle I’ve had with different eyeliners I’ve personally tried before but I think with this Kat Von D one I have finally found one I can hands down say I love and would recomend to any girl who loves your classic winged liner. I really don’t like when an eyeliner is meant to be black but seems to fade so quickly once applied, like what was the point and the next think you know I’m in the mirror again trying to go over it and it just is a never ending battle! Not this beaut though! It wears well all day and makes winged eyeliner less of a scary task to approach at 7am because of the easy applicator felt tip.

 4. Contour – NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

So I’m pretty sure not everyone would agree with using this product for contouring but I defiantly thought I’d give it a go simply because of the way it allows for easy application along the cheek bone, ideal for contouring! Pick a few shades darker then you normally would, apply a line on either side of your face along the bottom of your cheek bones and other essential contouring spots on your face that you feel necessary and blend with your favorite concealer and it helps create the desired contour effect.

5. Mascara – Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara

“The only drama I enjoy in my life is in my lashes!” I’m constantly trying new mascara I’m currently loving this one! I’m one of those people that love a thick chunky brush applicator and one that’s gona create a dramatic full lash effect! Even if I have none of my other makeup essentials with me for a day, I’m sure you’ll always find a mascara in my bag ready for when ever needed! That’s for sure!

I’m excited to do my first of many more to come holiday post and I am literally so excited Christmas is almost here! Only 5 more Wednesdays away! Decorations are up around the city, Christmas party and outfit planning, gift shopping and yummy scents all around. So in the spirit of Christmas I thought I’d share some of my current online girly gift guide favorites from some of my favorite stores that could help inspire some girly gift ideas. It’s so nice that most online stores do a gift guide for Christmas to help you out if your stuck for ideas, just super busy or for some of us who are buying gifts for someone who seems to have it all already and just need that little bit more inspiration! Some of my favorite sites that have these amazing girly gift guides are miss selfridge, topshop, miss guided and ASOS. Make sure to grab some great gifts from some of these stores for moms, sisters, friends, party hostess or any other special ladies in your life for great main gifts or perfect stocking stuffers. I know some times it’s hard to find gifts at specific price points and specific interest so I tried to pick some that varied pretty well in prices. It’s great to get your holiday shopping list all done and to sit back with some wine or eggnog and ignore the frantic last minute rush, to then just relax and enjoy the holiday instead, stress free!

Plus any girly girl loves trying out new beauty products so it’s sure to put a smile on her face, as well as leaving her looking glamorous!

My newly found addiction are all the amazing things at Atelerie, with such a wide range of designers from New York to Europe and Asia! Thought I’d share some of my recent purchases from the store. Of course starting with my absolute favourite my new fur infinity scarf from Jocelyn, and its in black, absolute must have! Next on my list was my Pink Champagne Swell Bottle. Of course I went for the sparkly pink option and so glad I got on the Swell bottle hype! 12 hours hot, 24 cold nuff said really, and it really works! I can’t wait to try out my wintery hot chocolates and teas on the go in my new bottle this winter. The best part is its keeping me drinking a lot more water every day now which is always a plus! I was so in love when I saw this Chan Luu double layer necklace it’s definitely a much needed staple to accessorise any outfit and I’m sure it will be in many more OOTD post to come!

Necklace: Chan Luu

Bottle: Swell Bottle

Furr Snood: Jocelyn

Believe it or not I’ve had no white jumper as soft as this before! I have a newly found love for Velvet’s collection and all the cozy sweaters and shirts they have to offer. Another favourite recently found collection of mine is Deepa Gurnani’s headbands. I have always a hair accessories type of girl to dress up my outfits and these headbands are just stunning!

The Sara Happ lip scrub collection is both yummy and makes my lips so soft! It’s a perfect beauty purchase for those wintery chapped lips. I would highly recommend a regular lip scrub as a beauty essential especially during the upcoming months. I also grabbed some cute JoJo earrings I used for my mermaid halloween costume last month and that are such a pretty teal colour that really stands out which I love on my blacks and whites! Last two bits where some black Havaianas as just a great basic to have and a Linnea candle to add to my candle obsession that smells delicious! I’m forever lighting up my room with yummy smelling candles after long days, it’s so relaxing!

November is finally here! Definitely one of my favourite months, probably because it’s my Birthday at the end of it plus the cozy sweaters, hot drinks and so nearly approaching Christmas time! I had a little MAC splurge, it’s far too hard not to, and thought I’d share some of my essentials for the winter! So I have just a couple of main essentials from MAC that I use year round and then some other fun essentials for the winter that I love and know I’ll be wearing a lot of this winter!

Bronzer: Matte Bronze

Eye Shadow: Orb

Lipstick: Living Legend (Satin Lipstick)

Lipliner: Nighmoth

Lipstick: Rebel (Satin Lipstick)

Highlighter: Prep and Prime Enlumineur Light Boost

Winters all about dark lipsticks to go with the darker wardrobe of winter. If I could have every shade of dark purples and reds from MACs lipstick collection I would, but I’m definitely trying to achieve that I think! Living Legend is just another deep burgundy to add to the collection that I love so much! Now that I’m loosing my tan so quickly, sad times, I really like how the darker reds go with my less tan skin tone, I’m ditching a lot of my favourite bright purples and pinks and using a lot more of my reds, burgundies and deep purples. This Nightmoth lipliner pairs perfectly with Living Legend to create that fuller lip look that I love as well as an ombre lip when I’m feeling like a more dramatic look with a lighter colour.

So I know so many people who swear by the now infamous MACs Rebel lipstick, so I thought I’d finally try it out for myself and now I see why there is such a craze about this amazing colour! It has definitely been added as one of my lipstick favourites I think because I seem to be wearing it more and more like every day now! If your looking for a great statement lipstick thats exactly what Rebel is! The bold colour isn’t too harsh and I’ve seen it work amazingly on so many different people and skin tones despite its very unique shade. This gorgeous deep purple looks darker then it actually is in the tube, but on its not too dark and more of a bright shade that can really make your skin colour pop! My favourite part about this colour is its semi-matte finish. I’m not a fan of shimmer and shinny lipsticks and was a bit worried about it being too shinny compared to what I usually go for in a lipstick, but the finish definitely surprised me once I tried it! It also really complements my neutral eye makeup I tend to do on a regular day look. I would say it’s definitely a new MAC essential for me! MACs also offering the shimmery tube case for Rebel, like I have, inspired by the upcoming Christmas season; so it would make a great stocking stuffer if you’re looking for ideas for Christmas gifts!
So I should have learned by now I can’t live without my MACs Orb eyeshadow, I have learned it’s probably one of my main MAC essentials. I need to just start stocking up on like five at a time so I’m not as devastated whenever I run out! It just creates the perfect natural look I love with my winged eyeliner. I literally use it everyday, on its own or with darker eyeshadows for a more done up look for nights out, dinners or just when I feel like a more done up look I guess. It’s a great shade for blending and using under the eyebrow as a highlighter as well.

I’m not usually a fan of MAC bronzer, I’ve gotten use to my NARS bronzer but this one really surprised me when I got it because I ran out of my NARS one. It doesn’t seem to clump, cake or clog pores like I have found with other MAC bronzers in the past. Best of all it keeps that matte finish which is a must have for me! I really don’t like a shimmer bronzer so this ones perfect and sets great on my NARS foundation.

My highlighter pen from MAC really helps create that contoured look under the eyes, on the forehead, cheeks and nose without a really cakey effect. It really lives up to its name to highlight the key areas and its long lasting effect all day.
