Hello September! Hello fashion season! Although, life in Bermuda, fall seems a little ridiculous to say and feel right now considering it’s still 85 degrees outside and we are still spending weekends at the beach-doesn’t mean you can’t start prepping your closets for fall! While we are still beaching it make sure to keep up to date with what’s going on in the fashion world- while many from the fashion industry are currently attending New York fashion week to see what’s in store for Spring 2017 it’s now easier than ever to keep up with all that Fashion Week entails by following different kinds of social media.
So no, I won’t be attending fashion week (I wish) but I get a chance to do something just as cool, I like to think, and something I love being apart of- I’ll be attending the Coterie buy in NYC for Atelerie’s Spring 17 buy. I’m so excited to see everything the designers, new and ones we already carry at Atelerie, will be presenting. I’m excited to bring you guys along via my social media for fun fashion-related stuff and a sneak peak into what’s in store for Spring 17. Be sure to follow along with me on Instagram (@cicissecret) and Snapchats (@catherine.araujo / @ateleriebermuda) and make sure to view my Instagram Story on my Instagram profile. I promise to post as much as possible and give you an inside look at the buy and designers collections we love!
In the mean time I wanted to share how I like to keep up with NYC Fashion week and some of the shows I’m looking forward to watching:
Now it’s easier than ever to Livestream NYFW 2016. This is a really cool option (www.fashionweekonline.com) to watch fashion shows without needing an invitation or to be in New York. Many designers are live streaming their shows, and you can see which ones and watch them right here.
I’m looking forward to watching shows like Zimmerman on Friday, Rebecca Minkoff and Alexander Wang on Saturday, Zachariah Posen and Rag & Bone on Monday, along with Mara Hoffman, Alice & Olivia and Theory on Tuesday and Wednesday next week!
Snapchat and Instagram are the best ways to keep up to date with this years New York Fashion week. I’ll be checking in on some of my favorite models and and bloggers currently at NYFW events for even more behind the scenes content and sneak peaks to all the shows they are attending. Models and bloggers like Emily Lucianoli and Gigi Hadid (@itsgigihadid) on Snapchat are fun for everything from getting ready back stage, to the views from the runways and after parties. I love following some of my favorite bloggers like Rocky Barnes, Hello Fashion Blog, Marianna Hewitt and Song of Style on Instagram to get a great documenting of the whole week, as well as seeing their street style for Fashion week- it’s truly inspiring to me! You can also search NYFW hashtags on Instagram or Pinterest for more looks at what’s going on, plus any news or more style inspiration.
P.S. Here’s a full schedule of all the shows on the official event site!
