MY EASTER PHOTO DIARY

Of all the different hot cross buns on Easter weekend I see every year, I’m so bias and will still say my mom’s hot cross buns are probably my favorite. The sweet and spicy taste always takes me back to when I was a kid. I’d eat them in the days leading up to Easter and then be bummed to have to wait another year to see them again. Hot cross buns are traditionally eaten on Good Friday and throughout the rest of Easter weekend. If you’re like me, I love a bun sliced in half with a spread of thick layer of salty butter on the inside. I am obsessed with this top! I love the gorgeous color and that it is not sleeveless- I’m loving this baby doll  silhouette for Spring! I feel like I’ve been wearing a TON of white jeans lately. These are my favorite Mango white denim (as seen in perevious post), but last summer I got these from the Mango, Gibbons (Bermuda) and they sold out so fast! I’m finger crossing the same cut comes back in stock this Spring/Summer! They are super flattering and also really affordable. I really want to buy a second pair because I wear mine so much it be great to have another pair or similar to switch it up!   I hope you all had a great Easter weekend and hope everyone had lots of fun kite flying on Good Friday! One of the cutest places we went during this beautiful Easter weekend was this little hole in the wall down St Georges, Bermuda, called Pieceworks. We celebrated one of my most amazing friends Birthday while getting our creative sides out to make mosaics- I didn’t expect any less from this creavitve birthday girl! Visit her page at and see what I mean: www.avariegraham.com.   This Easter Subday we had a couple of drinks and shared the most perfect brunch and it was a really nice change from the norm on a Sunday. If you follow me on snapchat (@catherinearaujo), you may have noticed my picks off of the menu at Fairmont Southampton Hotel’s yummy Easter brunch!- including my favorite, WAFFLES!      So finally, happy Monday everyone! An all-white look with pops of blue was yesterday’s outfit details to Easter brunch- best day for brunch all year! Including my new Mango embroidered clutch- perfect for the upcoming seasons! A fresh white button up is always a good idea in spring and I especially love the short sleeve version of this style. Definitely looks great either completely buttoned up with a statement necklace or layered under a sweater, or a little undone with layered necklaces like I had done.

This French Connection top is so light and breezy and also nice and loose to keep you cool. I paired this top with some white Topshop Joni jeans and a lace up block heel to add a little extra detailing to the outfit. Don’t be afraid to layer on some necklaces to really dress up a top like this one. I love this transitional piece and can’t wait to wear it with cute sandals or even some sneakers and shorts for summer!   Hope everyone is fully rested from this long Easter weekend and really for a fresh start Monday! Have a great day!
